Bio: I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Division of Social Science. Previously, I was a faculty member in the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University and the Department of International Relations and European Studies at Central European University. Also, I held visiting positions in the Department of Methodology at the London School of Economics and Political Science, the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University, the Department of Political Science at Yale University, and in the Institute of State Governance Studies at Yonsei University. I received my PhD in Political Science from Florida State University.
Research interests: My research includes topics in the areas of civil war, conflict resolution, bargaining, international interventions, and international organizations, and has utilized a variety of methods including formal modeling, large-n statistical analyses, text analysis, and qualitative case studies. My main research focuses on understanding the behavior of warring groups at the bargaining table. With a grant that I received from the Danish Council for Independent Research (approximately 2.6 Million HKD), I began working on the project titled “Civil War Termination Bargaining: Power, Third Parties, and Bargaining Behavior” in January of 2016. My research has been published in the American Journal of Political Science and International Studies Quarterly and will appear in Defence and Peace Economics.
